It is often said that a nation’s children are its greatest resource. Unfortunately, the last several decades have witnessed America’s increasing consumption of its children. Many people consider the proliferation of child-pornography on the Internet and high-profile child abductions the greatest threat to children today. Yet, some of the greatest threats are less visible, less understood, and less likely to be overcome without vigorous opposition. Pop culture has grown increasingly sexualized and influential; parents play an ever-smaller role in their children’s lives, and even the nation’s highest Court has trouble upholding laws aimed at protecting our kids. To reverse this devouring of our nation’s “greatest resource,” Americans must first understand the issues, then mobilize opposition, and always invest the time and attention that truly loving a child requires. - From Focus on the Family (http://www.family.org/cforum/fosi/pornography/children/)
