Hawaii voters can sign up now to receive notifications about their mail ballot! Sign up at http://hawaii.ballottrax.net to receive notifications by text, email, or by phone letting you know when your ballot is being sent, then received & accepted for counting.

DATES & DEADLINES

Election Day

Ballots must be received by the County Elections Division by close of voting, 7:00 p.m.

Primary: August 13, 2022

General: November 8, 2022

Paper Registration Deadline

Paper Voter Registration Applications must be submitted to your County Elections Division by:

Primary: August 3, 2022

General: October 31, 2022

Voters may register online at any time or in-person at a voter service center.

The County Elections Divisions provide same day registration at voter service centers. New Hawaii voters can register and vote in-person. Similarly, registered Hawaii voters can update their voter registration and vote in-person.

Absentee Ballot Request

Deadline to request a ballot be sent to an alternate address

Primary: August 6, 2022

General: November 1, 2022

Ballots Arrive in Mail

Voters receive their ballots for the 2022 Elections by:

Primary: July 26, 2022

General: October 21, 2022

Voter Service Centers

Open 10 days prior to the election offering accessible voting, in person voting and same day registration. Voter service centers are established and operated by the County Elections Divisions

Primary: August 1 – August 13, 2022

General: October 25 – November 8, 2022
