Hawaii Family Forum holds this institution in the highest esteem, and strongly opposes any legal sanction of marriage counterfeits, such as the legalization of same-sex “marriage” or the granting of marriage-like benefits to same-sex couples, cohabiting couples, or any other non-marital relationship via civil unions.
Hawaii needs to add a simplified Little RFRA to Hawaii’s laws that would prevent state government and its institutions from interfering with the free exercise of religion. While the Legislature claimed it inserted provisions to protect the free exercise of religion when they passed same-sex marriage, the provisions that were included were already covered by state law
Hawaii Family Forum opposes all forms of legalized gambling for both moral and social reasons. We believe the net societal effect of our government’s sanction and support of gambling has been disastrous.
Hawaii Family Forum led the way to pass a bill to protect minors who are at least 14 but less than 16 years of age from sexual exploitation and abuse. In 2001, Hawaii was the lowest in the nation. Executive Director, Kelly Rosati, was named that year as one of the State’s most influential people.
